WHAT DRIVES YOUR LIFE

Chapter Three

What would my family and friends say is the driving force of my life. What do I want to be?
The Lord, gives perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you "Isaiah 26:3" The man without a purpose is like a ship without a rudder------a waif, a nothing, a no man.------" I observed that the basic motive for success is the driving force of envy and jealousy"----"Ecclesiastes 4:4"

Right now you may be driven by a problem, pressure or a deadline. You may be driven by a painful memory, a haunting fear, or an unconscious belief. There are hundreds of values and circumstances and emotions that can drive your life.

Driven by guilt".-- You spend your entire life running from regrets and hiding your shame. God told Cain after he killed Abel, You will be a restless wander upon the earth, wandering through life without a purpose.
The Bible says,"What happiness for those whose guilt has been forgiven!---What relief for those who have confessed their sins and God has cleared their record.
Driven by anger"---Bible says, " To worry yourself to death with resentment would be a foolish, senseless thing to do"
Those that blow up in anger and have resentment toward another person can haunt you for a life time. We must be able to "Forgive" and "Forget" instead of stewing in pain and remembering the past. "Forget It"
For your sake "Learn from It" and "Let it Go"---There is nothing you can do to solve the problem so the old saying is--Why Worry and make your life miserable---The person you hold the anger or grudge against has probably forgotten it long along and the only one that is suffering is you
.
Driven by fear"---Bible says,  "Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life---fear of death, fear of judgement,---is one not yet fully formed in love.
The fear to venture, take chances is missing out on the opportunities given to you, instead you play it safe and accept the same old way of life.
Fear is a self imposed prison that will keep you from becoming what God intends for you to be. You must move against fear with the weapons of faith and love.
Driven by materialism"---The desire to acquire becomes the whole goal of your lives. The misconception, having more will make you happy, more important and more secure are all untrue. Possessions only provide temporary happiness. Things change, we become bored and want more, so we change our life style and require newer materials, boats, cars, trucks, homes, "Keep up with the Jones"---Having people to focus on you becomes more important. The riches make you feel more secure or valuable, " God says the most valuable things in life are not things.
Riches, money, cars, wealth in general can be lost instantly through bad management, stock markets or other uncontrollable factors.
"Real security can only be found in that which can never be taken from you----"Your Relationship With God"

Knowing your purpose simplifies your life"---Walking around in a daze or sitting in a recliner thinking, wondering and asking yourself questions---What do I need to do to improve my life---be able to live more decent or be able to provide a better life for your family.
Things get out of control, not enough hours or daylight in the day to get things done. To answer these questions and solve these problems you must have a permanent foundation to build your life upon. The foundation is what is most important to and your family.
To many things going on and not enough time. God as your foundation of  life is the start to help solve the impending problems. First knee down and pray for God to help you solve all problems. Look at what you do each day and determine if they are a part of your foundation and if they are important at all. If the things have nothing to do with God, than trash them or stop doing them. Television, computers and video games take up much of our time each day. Do these things interfere with your foundation of life and the plans for your future. Once you place God as a center of your life, than eternal life and doing the will of Jesus Christ takes priority over all things if you are seeking Gods Kingdom as your reward for serving your Creator,"God". All of those hours watching TV and wasting hours doing things that do not support your core values, suddenly become less important.
The phrase similar to this one sums it up pretty good-----For the rich to get into the Kingdom of God is like threading a camel through the eye of a needle.----God frowns on wealth, especially when you have more than you need and people are in need of housing, food and other things. Material things will get you nothing in the eyes of God.----Remember we deserve nothing in this world---It all came from God and he is the owner of all things to include our salvation he gives us when we repent in the name of Jesus Christ,  are reborn again and become dedicated Christians and become Christ like.
Tithes----Giving 10 per cent of gross earnings to the church----Many will say--I can not afford to do that---You can do it once God becomes a focal point of your life. It become so easy---you will not even miss the money----This money you give to to God is his money anyway---All we do is give back a portion of what he gives to us.
